Marton Mills - British Wool Collection

A few months ago, we were delighted to welcome British Wool to our West Yorkshire mill, where Laura Watts and the Marton Mills team shared the story behind the British Wool Collection and offered a first glimpse of the fabrics as they entered production. From discussing design inspiration and wool provenance to seeing the cloth woven on our looms, the visit highlighted the craftsmanship, traceability, and dedication that underpin every metre of fabric we produce.

Today, it is incredibly rewarding to see the collection unveiled on the international stage. Woven entirely from 100% British wool and carrying the recognised Shepherd's Crook mark, the collection celebrates the farmers, spinners, weavers, and manufacturers who work together to champion British wool. From the locally rooted heritage of Leathley to the bold traceable colours of Brimham and the striking textures of Ingleton, each range showcases the versatility and enduring appeal of this remarkable natural fibre.
