Patrick Birkbeck is the Managing Director of The House of Bruar, the iconic Scottish retailer established by his parents Mark and Linda three decades ago in a remote corner of Highland Perthshire. Bruar remains focused around a single retail site, but has expanded hugely due to its rapidly growing Mail Order and E-commerce operations. Food has always been central to the offering, with Bruar’s Food Hall declared Scotland’s Finest by the Guild of Fine Foods. Patrick is in the process of recruiting a new Director of Food, a strategic hire that will further underline Bruar’s reputation for showcasing the best of Scotland’s plentiful larder.
