This exquisite creation, instantly recognisable as a Morris pattern, was inspired by the well-known Strawberry Thief design, which William Morris created in 1883 and is held in the V&A collection. Both the pattern and the name were inspired by the thrushes that would frequently raid the kitchen garden of Morris’ Oxfordshire home, Kelmscott Manor.
