Designed by Islay was born from a love of eclectic passions: type design, colour, and the Scottish language. Inspired by sayings passed down from her mother and grandmother, Islay creates colourful greeting cards and art prints featuring uplifting Scottish quotes, beautifully set in contemporary typography and focused on positivity.
The collection has continued to grow and now includes original sayings alongside a distinctive range of illustrated Wild Swimming and Stand Up Paddleboarding greeting cards, prints, and gifts.
Sustainability is at the heart of the brand. All products are printed in the UK on FSC-accredited recycled paper stocks, paired with 100% recycled kraft envelopes or backed with recycled grey board. Printed products are packaged in biodegradable and compostable cello wrappers.
Since launching into wholesale in 2023, Designed by Islay has proven consistently popular, offering thoughtful, design-led products for every occasion. We are proud to be stocked in over 30 retailers across the UK.
