Birlinn Limited is an independent publishing house based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Established in 1992, Birlinn Limited publishes award-winning books for all ages and interests; from internationally acclaimed authors such as Alexander McCall Smith, the legendary Muriel Spark and thrilling crime writer Denzil Meyrick, popular historian Alistair Moffat, poets Liz Lochhead and Jenni Fagan, cookery writer Sue Lawrence and Scottish classics Norman MacCaig, George Mackay Brown and Lewis Grassic Gibbons.

The Birlinn sales team also represent publishers Cicerone, Dalen, Rucksack Readers, Historic Environment Scotland, Luath and Nicolson Maps.
