Intensity

At the end of a summer day the vibrant colours of the machair intensify against the reflections of the sky and waters of an inland loch. Beautiful shades of lilac and cobalt form part of my favourite areas in this design. The depth in the textures of the gesso which is used in the underpainting can be clearly seen in the colours of the hot evening sky.
