John Davidson joined Scotland Food & Drink in August 2020 in a newly created role as Strategy and External Relations Director and, in December 2021, became the Deputy Chief Executive taking on a wider remit across the organisation with responsibility for its market-facing activity, membership services, and its strategy and policy work. Prior to joining Scotland Food & Drink, John worked in the Scottish Government for over 20 years in a variety of roles, most recently as the head of food and drink policy for over 5 years.
