Cobalt Water

Cobalt Water

The wide format of Cobalt Water lends itself perfectly to a generous sized wrap. The original artwork was conceived after a trip to the Northwest Coast of the Scottish Highlands. Achmelvich is a tranquil bay sheltered by natural outcrops on either side. The vertical lines are created using a palette knife and have become a recurring feature in my work. I consider my mark-making to be a personal visual language which I have developed over the years. It is distinctly recognisable and has become a subconscious response to my interpretation of the landscape around me.
