Wholesale bakery supplying delicious fresh bread and biscuits to shops and hotels in Orkney and beyond.

William Frederick Mackinson Brown started a bakery on the Orkney island of Westray in 1892, no doubt hoping for a degree of success and longevity.

Now, nearly 150 years later, Louise & Duncan Drever (4th generation baker) run the wholesale bakery, now known as WFM Brown Ltd supplying shops, hotels and B&Bs throughout Orkney, Shetland and Thurso.

We bake throughout the night so that we can be ready with lovely fresh bread & rolls catching the ferry to Kirkwall first thing in the morning. During the day we make biscuits with particular favourites being our Flakey, Water and Cabin biscuits which are lovely with the local cheese and chutney. Particular favourites in the sweet biscuit range are our Parkin and Shortbread.
