The Aran Islands are home to a close community of farmers and fisherman. Living just off the coast of Galway the Aran Islands face the wrath of the Atlantic Ocean every day. The classic Aran Sweater was created here with a signature cable knitted for every fisherman and the traditional designs have been passed down through the generations. Today, the Aran cable knit is now recognised as a definitive symbol of Celtic heritage.

Based in Glasgow, Scotland the Aran Traditions team have tested all our products in most environments including up the side of a mountain and on the side of a football pitch on a cold wet Saturday morning. 

Founded in 2010 we only use quality materials and have a choice of over 100 products.
