Our Clapdale Wool project's objective is to create a circular economy for wool in the Yorkshire Dales. Currently sourced from 7 local farms near the Glencroft warehouse.

We pay farmers a minimum of £1 per kg for their wool and give them a profit share of everything we make. This is a fully traceable British Wool yarn processed within just 90 miles of the sheep it comes from.

We've used every breed on our local farmers fields so it represents this part of the Dales - Dalesbred, Mule, Texel, Blue Faced Leicester.

Plus it knits up beautifully, we've tested it extensively and we're very proud of it.
